Someone named James Allen once said, “As a man thinks, so he is; as he continues to think, so he remains”.
There is no truer statement…. well, think about it.
Every action on our part, as humans, began as a thought.
Every facet of our makeup is affected by our thoughts. To
wit:
-
Our emotional wellbeing
-
Our evaluation of a potential action
-
Our action or inaction on that thought
-
Our reward or adverse consequence of that
action.
In the past, while we were young and foolish, we acted on
impulse. But as we got older, that needed to change as we matured into
completely responsible adults whose age reflects our conduct.
As Christians or believers in the one true God and His Son
Jesus Christ, we are specifically compelled and commanded to not think,
conform, act, behave, look, smell, and more… like this crazy, upside-down, and
corrupt world. But the second part of
that encouragement of a Bible Verse – Romans 12:2 (ESV) is – “be transformed by
the renewing of your mind”.
So we are not supposed to “remain the same”….we are to
constantly be moving towards the goal of knowledge of the Supreme Being – the
God of this Universe and not standing still even if we go to church three times
a week and do all the prescribed things.
So how do we really become more “transformed by the renewing
of our minds”? It really begins with our
thought life.
THINK – my new book on such a process AND how God made it so
easy for us by so scientifically designing our minds – via the discipline of
Neuroscience – that all we have to do is apply ourselves!
You will discover more about what a few good mentors and
professionals call “think critically”.
How do we do that?
What even is Critical Thinking?
The Bible tells us “as a man thinks in his heart, so is he”.
How does one think in one’s heart and
How do we think “Biblically”
It is a lot easier than we think.
God has built a mechanism in our brains by which we can
actually change our thinking, increase our knowledge of Him, and grow
exponentially in wisdom and truth
The path to peace, joy and true happiness runs through the
astounding minds which the good Lord has created for us.
THINK is my latest book, and it digs deep into these
processes with a fast-moving, easy-to-read, flowing narrative backed by
Science and Scriptures on how God made this happen – because He could.
Read about real-life heroes of the Faith, who were not
famous in the eyes of men, but known to the many thousands whose lives they
affected over decades of their lives. Men like former NBA San Antonio Spur Bob
Warren, a good personal friend and a man who taught me how to study the Old
Testament, who overcame dyslexia and proved the power of God to change minds and lives are looked at, in some detail in this new book. There is so much more!
Observe how living the Christian Life can take you unimaginable places, especially in your "spiritual" lives.
Witness the Power of a transformed mind and with a look at how He (God) does it.
Read about how Worship Affects the Mind and brings the Body
of Christ close in unison.
THINK is more than just an academic exercise in reading and
joy to write.
Get your copy today and begin to
transform your mind biblically, scientifically and intentionally.
More about this in the upcoming “PLUMBLINE”
Podcast and more in the coming weeks!
