However, I don't know if you realize that those words can incite hatred in another. Not only hatred toward you, which you and I would understand and expect, given what Yeshua / Jesus said, that the world will hate those not of the world...

The hatred of which I speak is the hatred, condemnation, judgement against and - let's face it - "wrath" that others will bring upon those to whom you point out and use the label "sinner."

While you are, perhaps, of similar age to myself, you may or may not have been old enough to remember the movement from segregation toward a more equal footing for African Americans in this country. If you go back a few decades and change some of your words against those who are homosexual to those who are of darker skin color, your words may lead to lynching or other violence against a fellow human being. Correct?

Humanity has grown in some things, my friend, but still has the same errors at times, just different labels. How would you feel, my friend, if your words incited hatred in another enough that another human being suffered at the hands of those who thought they were doing "God's Will" by punishing a "sinner" who happened to be homosexual?

This is not an attack on you. Please do not read it as such. It is an observation; an invitation to correction. Like you, I am not perfect, and there have been many times I've "kissed the sidewalk" to bring my attention to an error in my own ways.

I don't know how to express these next words without sounding, I don't know... "Holier than thou." I'm certainly not I know, and I try to stay silent, keep my heart humble and my ego under a tight leash. Sometimes there's something that... guides me to stick my neck out and say something. In response to you, it is this:

God loves you, so much that there are no words to describe. At best, a Light wrapped around your soul. Namaste: the Spirit within me recognizes and sees the Spirit within you. Because of this, that which is in me does not want to see the work of that which is in you twisted into something ugly.

Inciting hatred and condemnation of another can become very ugly... :*(

If you are up to the challenge, both God's Love and the Gospel can be shared without a pulpit. Look for a way to open a path for those who are in a place where they cannot see one. You should understand as well as I that shouting, "Repent and sin no more" at someone does as little as shouting, "Be silent" to a firework rocket after it has been launched.

An example can be found in the case of the other post where you mention handing out literature at a popular bar following the tragedy of drunk driving. Perhaps, a better venue would be researching cab rates and possibly free cab rides (some companies do offer them), and handing out those numbers. With the numbers, site a few passages from the bible that pray for their safe journey home. They may become intrigued enough to open the bible and start reading.

A blessing opens many more doors than a curse, my friend. At least that is how I find things on my end.

Blessings for you on this day; May God guide your steps all along the Way. :DAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2590853328840724469.post-48065680989072050222012-06-13T23:13:11.099-05:002012-06-13T23:13:11.099-05:00Hello my friend! :-)

What we do is this - GOD hates sin...and I am the chief of all sinners.

I am not into debating and making any enemies of dear friends and fellow Christians...I wish real pastors would preach the Truth and bring people to repentance...because what is important is not what any nobody like me thinks. What matters is what God thinks. I am so afraid that most in the church today will not survive on Judgment Day! To that end, my mission on earth is to make sure everyone I know is saved and brought to a true knowledge of the Truth, in Jesus' Name amen!

Thanks so much for caring and for sharing the Love of Christ! May God bless you this day and always!

Your humble servant,
Brother BernieThe Bernie Lutchman Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13798539854112883215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2590853328840724469.post-12620316268773612672012-06-13T06:39:10.295-05:002012-06-13T06:39:10.295-05:00The Term "Golden Rule" refers to those p...The Term "Golden Rule" refers to those passages. Technically, the words "Love" or "God" are not in the bible either, as none of the parts were originally written in English. But we who follow Christ shouldn't quibble over such silly things. :D

Yeshua / Jesus never used the word "Bible." He used the word "Gospel" which is literally translated as "Good news;" not "damnation."

>>Love does not apply to violations of God's statutes and ordinances, no matter how well intentioned people think they should be.<<

Woe be to the world if this is true; we all make mistakes, including me & you.

Forgiveness is a Blessing given from well beyond time, a gift of Love for "violations," given to us by the Divine.

One passage in this world keeps this alive: John 13, verses 34 and 35.

Another one, if you care to delve: Matthew 6, verse 12.

I really don't want to argue, my dear friend, but hatred in this world really should end. :*(

May God Blessings fill your soul & heart; may Jesus take your hand at each day's start.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2590853328840724469.post-23392714812802763442012-06-12T20:10:00.843-05:002012-06-12T20:10:00.843-05:00Great verses as always and the Word is always pure...Great verses as always and the Word is always pure and right.
